Lawrence Weinstein joined the team of Silver & Silver as an associate in 2001; in 2009, he became a partner. He practices in the fields of Social Security Disability, Workers’ Compensation and Long-Term Disability. Prior to joining Silver & Silver, he assisted in writing judicial decisions for the Social Security Administration and also both the Philadelphia and Bucks County District Attorneys’ Offices.
Mr. Weinstein received a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Minor in Middle East History from Pennsylvania State University and a Juris Doctorate from Villanova University School of Law. He has been a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association since 2000.
He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and throughout the country in Social Security cases. Mr. Weinstein is also accredited to represent veterans before the Veterans Administration.
Mr. Weinstein has been named a “Rising Star Super Lawyer” by Law and Politics and the publishers of Philadelphia Magazine eight times. He also was named an “Awesome Attorney” by Main Line Today in 2013 and 2014.
Mr. Weinstein serves as a lecturer for Continuing Legal Education programs including the conference off the National Organization of Social Security Claims Representatives (NOSSCR) and National Business Institute.
In 2013, Mr. Weinstein was elected to a six year term on the Board of Supervisors for Northampton Township, Pennsylvania. Previously, he had been elected to the Board of Auditors of Northampton Township in the years 2001, 2003 and 2009. He has also served as the campaign manager for Pennsylvania State Representative Scott Petri since 2002. He currently serves as Secretary for the Northampton Board of Supervisors. On the board of supervisors, Larry acts as liaison to the police and fire departments as well as to the Veteran’s Advisory Commission. Additionally, from 2001-2013, Mr. Weinstein was the Delaware County Coordinator for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Mock Trial program.
Mr. Weinstein also serves as a guest lecturer for various medical-related support groups, including for diseases such as arthritis, epilepsy, cystitis and more.
